COME AND TRY – learn the basics
Come and Try sessions are held each month.
Once a month, we provide an opportunity for anyone interested to learn the basics of croquet, typically (GC) Golf Croquet to attend a free friendly 2hr session, ‘Come and Try’. (Anyone means people aged 14 and over). Book here or on the EventBrite website
We play 3 forms of croquet (formally regarded as mallet sports), the original Association Croquet, Golf Croquet and Gateball. Each is somewhat different and all employ particular skills and strategy. Sometimes likened to playing chess & snooker on a lawn, all have a similar objective of scoring more hoops, resulting in points than your opponent. YouTube can provide you with videos about how croquet is played. Below is a video produced for by the UK Croquet Association which provides some insight into the game and those hooked on playing it.
